Stay Warm (or Cool)

In extreme cold, dress in layers. Wear a hat, as a lot of body heat is lost through the head. designate one room as your 'warm room', isolate it by closing doors to other rooms, and gather everyone there.

In extreme heat, stay on the lowest floor of your home where the air is cooler. Cover windows with drapes or aluminum foil to reflect sunlight. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.

Check on neighbors, especially the elderly and those with health conditions, as they are more vulnerable to extreme temperatures.
